A large residential fire destroyed three homes Friday in Lake Ozark, according to officials.
The Lake Ozark Fire Protection District said crews responded on March 20 to a structure fire in the Scenic Road area. When firefighters arrived, they found three homes and a small outbuilding fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters worked for about two hours to bring the blaze under control, receiving assistance from multiple nearby departments, including crews from Sunrise Beach, Osage Beach, Eldon, and Moreau, as well as emergency medical support.
Authorities confirmed that all of the homes were unoccupied at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.
Damage from the fire is estimated to exceed $1 million.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
