A 30-year-old man from Jacksonville died Friday evening following a crash involving a motorcycle and a car, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the crash occurred on Blanding Boulevard near Collins Road when a Honda sedan, driven by a 38-year-old woman from Orange Park, attempted to cross eastbound lanes after exiting a parking lot.
The motorcyclist was traveling south on Blanding Boulevard when the Honda entered his path. Authorities said the front of the car collided with the rear left side of the motorcycle.
Emergency responders transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The driver of the Honda and two children inside the vehicle were not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
