The community of Appalachia is mourning the passing of John R. Clark, Jr., founder of Clark Sales, whose leadership and dedication left a lasting impact on both his company and those who knew him.
Mr. Clark established Clark Sales in 1991 and spent more than three decades building and guiding the business before retiring in 2024. His commitment to excellence and collaborative leadership helped shape the company’s strong foundation and enduring reputation.
Throughout his career, he was known for fostering meaningful relationships with colleagues, clients, and partners. His approach combined experience, determination, and a focus on teamwork, earning him respect across the industry.
Beyond his professional life, Mr. Clark was actively involved in charitable efforts, including support for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, reflecting his dedication to giving back to the community.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 23, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gilliam Funeral Home. Burial arrangements are pending. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in his memory.
Mr. Clark’s passing marks a significant loss for his community and all those impacted by his work and generosity. His legacy will be remembered through the business he built and the lives he touched.
